Our client is a leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and numbers are set to rise to over 1 million by 2025. 

Position: Dementia Friends National Operations Manager (Flexible Location) 
Location: Flexible 
Contract type: Permanent 
Hours: 35 per week 
Salary: Depending on agreed office base: £38,367 – London, £36,236 – Surrounding London areas, £34,510 – National. All per annum (actual)

About the Role: 
Joining at an exciting time, you will lead a national team across England and Wales responsible for inducting, engaging and delighting volunteers in their Dementia Friends community change programme enabling them to reach hundreds of thousands of Dementia Friends and secure change for and with people affected by dementia. 

They are looking for a skilled and experienced person to lead the volunteer-enabling work stream of their high-profile Dementia Friends activity. Dementia Friends is part of our clients community change team working to galvanise and mobilise individuals and organisations to create change in our communities. They want there to be 4 million Dementia Friends in England by 2020, individuals with the confidence to help people with dementia feel understood and included in their community. 

About You: 
You will play a central role in this important programme. Being able to demonstrate passion for engaging volunteers to lead social change, you will have experience of managing and delivering a successful engagement and volunteer programme. You will also have experience of leading on the continual improvement of a programme, developing new products and services and monitoring and reporting on the impact of all activities. 

You will need excellent organisational skills, the ability to lead and manage your own team, with strong presentation and interpersonal skills and the ability to build good relationships across the charity.
