A pioneering and ground breaking social welfare charity is looking for a Press and PR Manager to join their team in London.

They are seeking an energetic, ambitious and confident Press and PR Manager who has experience planning and delivering powerful media campaigns as well as managing core Public Affairs activities. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a busy and growing team to achieve impactful and diverse coverage for the charity. The role spans across marketing and communications and the position will need a highly passionate individual to raise the charity s profile through both consumer and industry-specific communications channels, as well as proactive media techniques.

Key Responsibilities will include:

-To manage Press and PR activity across the charity and a range of channels to secure national media coverage

-To deliver impactful Public Affairs programmes which facilitate lobbying of key stakeholders and building strategic alliances

-To work directly on consumer and food-related industry initiatives as well as supporting the work of the Corporate Fundraising team

-To be the lead contact for Press and PR, as part of Press Office duties

-To build and maintain active relationships with key journalists, enabling proactive pitching of stories

-To work with the Director of Marketing and Campaigns to develop and implement strategy which puts the charity s work at the forefront of the media agenda

In Order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

-Substantial experience in raising the profile of a charity through PR and Social Media campaigns

-Experience of delivering effective press and PR planning, as well as the ability to analyse the effect of campaigns through analysis and media monitoring

-Working effectively with journalists on a national basis

-Experience of developing & co-ordinating communications processes in a national organisation
