The Organisation
Our client is a charity and is recognised as a leading authority on the use of strategic design.  They use design as a strategic tool to tackle major societal challenges, drive economic growth and innovation, and improve the quality of the built environment. Their approach is people-centred and enables the delivery of positive social, environmental and economic change. In order to continue the growth trajectory they are looking for an Interim Head of Accelerators  (programmes)

The Role
This is a 6 month contract, on an interim basis with a possibility of extension. 

-You will lead on the delivery of our client’s Programme, ensuring this is in line with the goals of the programme and our client’s  vision and strategy. 
-You will work closely with the Director of Growth & Innovation to develop the future model for the programme so that it can unlock innovation within a broader context and demonstrate the potential to scale.
-You will help to create ever-greater clarity around the strategic value of design to unlock new ideas and accelerate them to market.

The Person
To be successful in the role you will need the following qualifications and skills:

-Design strategy and management including an understanding of applying design methods to take ideas to market 
-Excellent programme management and strategic planning skills applied in a commercial context 
-Excellent communication skills and the capability to think and work visually, including being able to convey complex ideas simply 
-Exceptional team leadership and management skills 
-Coaching capability with the skills to lead high senior individuals 
-Exceptional client leadership skills and ability to work at a senior level 
-Strong listening, negotiating and influencing skills 
-A self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast paced, changing environment.
