Are you passionate about embedding gender equality in International Development?

Our client, an international humanitarian organisation, is looking for a Programme Equality Advisor to lead on the implementation of gender equalising components in their flagship programmes on a 12 month contract.

The post holder will work across two large programmes and with a real variety of stakeholders to promote and actively support the integration of equality principles within the work delivered, ensure quality and impact and provide technical expertise to the programmes in the areas of gender and equality. This will entail supporting members in resourcing, planning and implementing harmonised approaches to promote gender equality and designing M&E tools in collaboration with the aim of generating indicators and milestones to ensure the programmes continued success and creating knowledge learning. They will be responsible for pushing this learning across the organisation's broader programme portfolio and developing gender equality as a priority for future work. This pivotal role will also represent the programmes on these topics through a variety of mediums at a national and international level.

The right candidate will possess a post-graduate degree in a relevant field or similar qualification, and possess significant technical experience in Equality/Gender Equality/ GBV. They will have demonstrable experience of applying their skills in a variety of contexts, ideally those seen in a humanitarian or development setting and will have extensive knowledge on inequality and rights. They will be comfortable developing strategies which engage and increase girls' and women's participation and empowerment and be able to coach, train and mentor others to build capacity and increase impact. Fluency in French is advantageous.

Please note this exciting opportunity will have extensive travel for up to 6 months a year and can be either based in London or Dublin.
