Assistant Payroll Officer (Temporary - 12 months) 

Our client is a national charity and a leading force in supporting people with learning disabilities and their families. They are going through an exciting period of change and have an urgent need for an Assistant Payroll Officer to join their Finance Department. 
Position: Assistant Payroll Officer 
Location: Emersons Green, Bristol 
Job type: Temporary- 12 months 
Hours: Full time: 35 hours per week 
Salary: £20,178 per annum

Interview date: Friday 28th October 2016 

About the role: 

You will be responsible to the Payroll Manager and oversee all enquiries from managers and staff, on a dedicated Payroll Telephone Helpline. In addition, you will be part of a small payroll team working with a new payroll system, preparing and processing monthly pay. 

About you: 

You must have a good knowledge and understanding of payroll legislation and intermediate MS Excel skills. A strong transactional payroll background is required, together with the ability to work in a fast paced environment meeting monthly deadlines. An excellent and confident telephone manner is essential as you will be acting as a customer service point of contact dealing with payroll queries from managers and staff across the organisation. 

This role would suit someone looking to progress their career in payroll working for a national charity that employs over 3000 staff across England. 


You may have experience of the following: Assistant Payroll Officer, Data Entry, SSP, SMP, Payroll Administrator, Human Resources, PAYE, Administration, Personnel, Payroll Officer, Excel, Payroll Clerk, CIPP, Human Resources, Payroll Assistant, Finance Administrator, etc.
