Salary: Circa £33-35k per annum dependent on experience, but up to £40k for an exceptional candidate
The Royal Marines Charity has the widest purposes of any military charity in the UK and provides invaluable support to Royal Marines, their families, veterans and cadets.
As part of an exciting new phase in its development the Charity is looking to appoint an experienced Trusts and Partnerships Manager on a full or a part-time basis. This is a new post, which will enable the organisation to achieve sustainable income growth and allow more accurate targeting of support where it is needed most.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the post-holder will have an opportunity to establish the post and play a prominent part in building a new income stream for the Charity. Working within a small and busy team, within a fluid and ever-changing growth environment, you will be channelling your skills and experience into maximising income and support from Trusts, Foundations and Corporate partnerships by developing and maintaining mutually productive relationships.
Based primarily at the Navy Command HQ in Portsmouth but with regular travel to London and the Charity’s office at the Commando Training Centre near Exmouth, you will also have an opportunity to develop and administer a legacy strategy in line with wider strategic aims.
Interested applicants must be able to demonstrate a minimum of five years’ experience in Trusts and Foundation fundraising; ideally but not restricted to the military sector. You will be adept at producing effective, cohesive, motivating and inspiring proposals and funding reports, and will demonstrate extensive experience in reviewing budget and financial reports. You will also have experience of supporting corporate partnerships.
Other key skills include your ability to persuade and influence, create and deliver outstanding presentations and develop strong relationships with supporters and stakeholders.
