Our client is the UK's leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and numbers are set to rise to over 1 million by 2025. 

Position: Policy Officer 
Location: Fenchurch Street, London

About the Role: 

Now that dementia is firmly on the public policy agenda, they have an ambitious programme of work to ensure it best meet the needs of people with dementia and their carers. They are looking to recruit a policy officer to support their work on health, social care and other policy. 

Reporting to a senior policy officer, you will work within the Policy team. Some of the key ways you will contribute to policy development will be through monitoring and analysing developments in the policy environment, remaining on top of key statistics, producing briefings for internal and external audiences on key issues, representing the team at key meetings internally and externally, responding to consultations and providing policy input into organisational campaigns. 

About You: 

You must have excellent knowledge of the health and social care policy environment and experience of working in a policy related role. Strong oral and written communication skills and good analytical skills are vital. You will need good interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
