Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

The Philanthropy Team sits within the Partnerships & Philanthropy Division, alongside the Corporate and Foundation Partnerships Teams. The team is responsible for building long-term relationships with high level philanthropists and their families to support Unicef’s work. With ambitious targets over the next five years, this is an exciting time to join a highly successful team in delivering greater results for children.

The new role of Senior Proposal Writer will develop quality written documentation to inspire and motivate high level philanthropists to support Unicef’s work for children at the £1m+ level. These might be project proposals, concept notes, programme updates and impact reports, using knowledge and insight of donor motivations to create bespoke content.

To succeed in this role, you will have experience of writing successful high value donor funding proposals, along with the budget preparation and reporting for proposals at the £1m+ level. You will have exceptional communications skills in order to present complex and difficult messages clearly and with impact, and be able to use a range of approaches in terms of content and format. Additionally, you will have a good knowledge of the current philanthropy and high net worth landscape and insight into how charities are catering to this landscape.
