Robertson Bell Finance is proud to be exclusively partnered with the Royal Horticultural Society to recruit a Senior Finance Business Partner, based in their London office near Victoria Station.

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) was founded in 1804, and their core objective is to be the world's leading gardening charity by inspiring passion and excellence in the science, art and practice of horticulture. The RHS announced a 10-year Strategic Investment Programme of £160 million in June 2014, which includes opening a new RHS garden, a brand new Science research building and creating two new inner city gardens. The aim of the programme is to enable the charity to provide even better inspiration and advice for more people - both its members and the British gardening public. It also plans to broaden its appeal and raise the profile and impact of every aspect of horticulture.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, there is a strong emphasis on creating an exciting and progressive future for the organisation and, as such, individuals who are dynamic, highly commercial and astute are strongly preferred. You will have proven experience in financial planning, you will be a team leader who motivates and develops people, your ability to work cohesively with senior managers across a broad ranging business is essential, and you will demonstrate commercial acumen, great communication and an eye for detail. You will support the FP&A team through a period of change in service expectations, helping to develop the team members reporting to this role to enhance their capabilities and their delivery ensuring fit for purpose service. The position will play a supporting role in implementing our new finance system that will take us up a level in terms of reporting, analysing and guiding the business through it exciting journey of growth.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with business partnering experience as this is a key area of the organisation, the role will suit a strong communicator who is not afraid to challenge decisions if required. You will need the ability to analyse and interpret key financial data while working to tight deadlines. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build rapport with a range of finance and non-finance persons across the organisation. This could be an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to move from the commercial to the charity sector as previous charity experience is not an essential requirement.
