We are working with Hertford College at the University of Oxford to find a Development Manager to join their growing team. Hertford is based in the city centre and is one of the university’s largest and oldest colleges, with a friendly and progressive reputation and a diverse alumni base. This is an exciting time to join the team, which has a high-profile Principal and a new fundraising strategy being implemented by the recently appointed Director of Development.
The Development Manager will be responsible for managing the delivery of Hertford’s telethon fundraising campaigns, planning and devising the ask as well as working with data to target alumni. You will devise and implement a strategy to ask all alumni to donate each year, targeting fundraising communications to alumni all over the world.
Working closely with other members of the team the successful candidate will also design a legacy strategy, lead on developing stewardship programmes for all donors and coordinate events to engage with a range of alumni.
Experience of working on a fundraising telethon, including gift processing, is essential, but this role is a great step up for someone who is now looking to run their own campaigns. The ideal candidate will be a fantastic communicator, educated to degree level and will have an understanding of, or passion for, working in an educational institution.
