Rotherham Hospice is a registered charitable trust and is the only adult hospice for the people of Rotherham and surrounding villages. The Hospice has been through an extraordinary transformation over the last 18 months and is now fully independent and at the forefront of delivering End of Life Care in Rotherham.

To help us achieve this we have created the new role of Fundraising and Communications Director to drive forward our fundraising with innovation and creativity. We are looking for an exceptional individual who is able to motivate and enthuse at all levels with passion and ambition to succeed.

This post requires a creative thinker who can place the Hospice at the forefront of both business and community sectors, marketing our new brand and increasing income streams. Our successful candidate will have an extensive fundraising background with a demonstrable track record of delivering and exceeding targets. They will be an excellent communicator with a proven track record at management level, and looking for a unique and exciting opportunity that enables significant development.

The key responsibilities include:
• Being an active member of the Senior Management Team delivering operational management and developing overall Hospice strategy
• Specifically developing, implementing and delivering the Fundraising strategy in order to meet the on-going revenue and capital needs of the organisation
• Providing leadership and management to our Fundraising Department that includes our lottery and retail teams, and our events and community fundraising team
• Leading on the development of a clear marketing and communications strategy that raises the profile of the Hospice in the public and professional communities.
