Parkinson’s UK - Trusts Officer - London - £16,800 per annum

About Parkinson’s UK:

Parkinson’s UK is the Parkinson’s support and research charity. Among our greatest strengths are our people, the enthusiasm of our local groups and supporters and the commitment of our staff.

As the winner of the Charity Times' Charity of the Year 2011, we’re leading the work to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson's. And you could be part of helping us achieve this.

With our ambitious plans up to 2014, we are investing in our Trusts fundraising, and are looking for a talented Trusts Officer with a successful track record of securing income from charitable trusts.

About the role:

As a key member of the team, you will manage a portfolio of trusts and ensure they receive excellent cultivation, appeals and stewardship for their support. You will also contribute to the creation and implementation of an effective strategy to maximise long-term income from the portfolio of charitable trusts. Together, we can build on our current successes and grow this funding stream for the charity.

You will have proven experience of securing a range of gifts, and will be passionate and skilled in developing strong and effective relationships with both committed and potential supporters.

With excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to your work, you will have a high standard of accuracy. You will be confident in using your written skills to turn complex information into clear and compelling proposals and reports for a range of audiences. As a good communicator you will also be making direct contact with trusts, in order to inform and shape your fundraising plans.

If you are excited by the opportunity to use your skills to make a real difference to people living with Parkinson’s and work with a range of individuals, then we’d like to hear from you.
