Salary: £17,500 (for 17.5 hour week)
(one-year contract with possibility of extension
and increase to full-time hours)

Southwark Cathedral is planning to launch a major appeal in 2012 with the long-term aim of endowing the Cathedral choirs, funding major works to the fabric and enabling the establishment of new work with disadvantaged groups in this part of South London.
We are looking to appoint a part-time Appeal Director to be the central co-ordinating person preparing for the appeal launch and working with our Fundraising Executive and Council in cultivating major donors, organising and hosting events and sustaining the momentum of fundraising effort.

This is an exciting project and we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced fund raiser with drive and initiative able to work at both a strategic and detailed level to support and resource the work of Council members. Candidates should be able to write and produce good quality printed and electronic material and to communicate it with confidence and authority at a senior level. They should be capable of developing positive relationships with key stakeholders as well as acting as an ambassador for the Cathedral Appeal.
