Tell us about Missing People and the work it does

Missing People exists to be a lifeline when someone disappears. We provide free advice, support services and ways to find missing people through our free, 24-hour and confidential helpline: 116 000.

What role are you currently recruiting for?

We are looking for a challenge events coordinator who will be responsible for developing fun events for supporters which raise funds, including challenge and mass participation events and third party events like marathons and cycles. You will recruit and motivate a network of fundraising supporters to raise unrestricted funds to meet income targets. Some evening and weekend work is required along with some travel across the UK.

What kind of people are you looking for? 

You will need to have some challenge event experience with the confidence to hit the ground running. You also need to have good organisation skills, experience with using Raiser’s Edge or a similar database, and be motivated by working towards income targets. You will also be friendly and have a welcoming personality with a proactive approach to work.

We have just held our annual Missing People 10K which you can find out about here: www.missingpeople.org/10k We currently have places in the British 10K and are accepting applications for the London Marathon 2018.
