What’s the role?
Acting as a senior member of the Donor Stewardship and Special Events team you will manage a small sub-team of special events professionals to deliver and develop high end fundraising and donor focused activities, events and campaigns. 

You will work with senior stakeholders in Fundraising and Events as well as high value volunteers and committees to create and implement 3-5 year development plans for each of the events within the team’s portfolio; focussing on growing income, sponsorship, donor acquisition and added value for Macmillan.

Attendance at events and committee meetings is an essential element of the role, involving some out of office hours working (morning and evening) and occasional travel across the UK.

Who are we looking for?
As our ideal candidate, you have an exceptional track record of managing people, stakeholders and leading on projects.

You have significant experience in fundraising, special events management with an ability to combine creativity and innovation with a focused-approach to managing targets and budgets.

Flexible, proactive and enthusiastic, you have excellent communication, influencing and relationship management skills and adapt confidently to all social settings and a strong understanding of direct marketing and segmentation - ideally supported by a relevant qualification.
