Volunteering Services Manager - Northern Ireland
Permanent
Part Time (2 days per week - Job share)

£28,000 - £33,000 pro rata + car/car allowance and benefits

With the number of people living with cancer in the UK set to grow from 2.5m to four million by 2030, Macmillan is developing how we can do more for the growing numbers of people affected by cancer. We know that people giving their time, energy and experience is a vital way of helping us to do this.

Volunteers are central to Macmillan’s ambition to reach and improve the lives of everyone affected by cancer. With your experience of developing and delivering volunteer-led services, you will be committed to providing the best possible volunteering experience for everyone who gives their time to Macmillan, whether volunteering for us directly or with one of our partners.

Your track record in successfully developing and managing projects will include negotiating with key partners to establish, promote and provide services, ensuring best practice is embedded in all stages.

You will have experience of working directly with vulnerable service users which, coupled with your understanding of the wider health and social care agenda, will enable you to meet the complex support and safeguarding needs of both volunteers and service users.

You will also have demonstrable presentation and facilitation skills as well as the confidence, communication and influencing skills to deal effectively with people at all levels in Macmillan, external organisations and within the community.

In return, we commit to actively developing you and our benefits include BUPA, life assurance, pension, childcare vouchers, generous leave, and interest free loans for season ticket and gym membership.

The role is home-based and involves daily travel in the normal course of the work, with some evening and out-of-hours work and occasional stays away from home required.

All job offers are made subject to an enhanced Access NI disclosure.
