Role summary

We are looking to recruit a Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of the British Heart Foundation’s communications consent proposition.  This is a critical initiative driven by impending legal changes as well as the consumer environment.  This role is key to the successful delivery of our ambition.

You will take a leading role in the creation, testing, evaluation and delivery of communications and messaging across a broad range of channels which could potentially include online, in-store, direct mail, call centre, off the page, social media and TV.

You’ll create and work with a cross functional team comprising internal stakeholders, selected external agencies and suppliers, delivering an effective multi-channel campaign that will convince a broad array of BHF customers (from donors through to volunteers to health information recipients) to give consent to BHF communicating with them.  The work will need to be compelling and distinctive whilst adhering to legal requirements and Best Practice.  The Marketing Manager will be a key part of a group focused on the project but working alongside a much larger group of stakeholders across the organisation to whom the outcome is critical.

About you

With demonstrable experience in both offline & online communications and data & segmentation, the successful candidate will have knowledge of the creative process including the role of research and cross channel customer journey planning. Knowledge and experience of using behaviour change/behavioural economics would also be a great advantage.

Experienced at leading - and working with - multi-disciplinary teams comprising both internal stakeholders and external agencies (creative and media), you will have excellent communication skills and be able to develop and build good working relationships with key colleagues quickly and successfully.  You’ll be working closely with an array of specialists including Data Analysts, Creative Designers, Data Planners and Market Researchers as well as internal colleagues including senior management from Fundraising as well as across the broader organisation.

You’ll have a demonstrable track record of delivering cutting edge cross channel creative and have excellent organisational skills to ensure that key deadlines are met and delivery is seamless.
