The British Heart Foundation plans to deliver significant business change programmes and projects in the next few years.  The Knowledge and Technology team is at the heart of delivering this change, and is building skills and teams to achieve success.     

Role summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Solution Architect to join our growing IT team and play a pivotal role in reviewing, developing and designing technical solutions for Business as Usual and Line of Business systems and services. This will include the delivery of Enterprise-Class, scalable, simple and secure solutions that are within agreed strategic and organisational objectives.

Skills and experience

A subject matter expert in core infrastructure-related technology you will have strong systems analysis, design, testing and deployment skills and experience.  You'll be able to review current systems and identify opportunities to consolidate and improve where practical.

You'll be fluent in the Microsoft stack, from on-premises to Cloud PaaS and ability to design AD, Exchange, SCCM and HA environments.  You'll be able to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and work closely on projects and be able to work with non-technical people in a clear manner.

You’ll have excellent analytical skills and organisational skills, able to keep the end goal in sight and ensure project deadlines are met.
