The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the nation's heart charity with a mission to lead the fight for every heartbeat through pioneering cardiovascular research. We fund thousands of scientists carrying out more than half the UK's cardiovascular research and our work has been central to the discoveries of vital treatments that are helping to change the face of the UK's fight against heart disease.

We are looking to recruit a Programme Support Officer to assist in the co-ordination of information for key IT programmes and projects. You will liaise and work with internal and external stakeholders, providing key communication updates, monitor work and progress against plans and offer vital assistance to programme and project managers.

Working alongside the wider team you will prepare reports and supporting documentation as well as coordinating programme and project board meetings, ensuring information is up to date and accurate at all times.

The successful candidate will have PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent, project management training and be able to demonstrate a track record of working in programme or project support. You'll work with teams that are split across many sites so you'll be happy to be part of a “virtual” team, able to keep in contact and keep up to date with key work and programmes. You'll have experience of working with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders and experience of managing project financials, tracking and billing.

It is expected this role will be required for 6-12 months.
