Chief Executive Officer

Responsible to:
Board of Trustees

Salary:
Circa £60,000 per annum

Hours:
Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday with some evening and occasional weekend work

Direct reports:
- Social Research and Data Lead
- Networks and Partnerships Manager
- Employment and Skills Policy Lead
- London Plus Coordinator
- Business Development and Relationship Lead

Location:
Central London. Some travel will be required.

About our client

Our client has a big, brave idea to champion London’s civil society through insight, influence and powerful connections. They are a new pan-London civil society organisation, set up in 2018 with a small team that that focuses on the following work areas:

- Social research and data
- Networks/partnerships
- Advocacy and voice
- Communications/digital content and operations
- Employment and skills policy and project work

To make London’s voluntary action more effective it will benefit from reliable information, great networks and an influential voice. Civil society organisations are invited to become members. Our client facilitates networks to enable conversations to bring about change. With their members and partners, our client aims to be the go-to place to bring about positive change for Londoners and the diverse communities and networks that make up civil society in this great capital.

About you

You will have proven experience of strategic leadership, strong financial and business acumen, the ability to see the bigger picture and make the connections for collaboration to achieve a positive change in London. You will be an entrepreneur, a campaigner and have the humility needed to run a small charity. You will have an active commitment to addressing inequality and promoting inclusion.

You will provide visionary leadership that motivates staff, volunteers, trustees, partnerships and stakeholders alike to match our client’s vision, mission and values. To be responsible for the achievement of the strategic objectives and overall management of services and to promote the profile and the interests of our client and their impact on civil society.
