Our client is an organisation that provides a range of housing and varied support services to vulnerable people. Their aim is to support people in achieving their full potential. They are currently going through a large period of growth and have a vacancy for an Activities & Volunteer Co-ordinator.
Position: Activities & Volunteer Coordinator
Location: Exeter & Devon
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £16,575 to £19,500 per annum
Benefits: 26 days’ annual holiday rising a day a year for the first 5 years + bank holidays, Life Assurance, Pension scheme and an Employee Health Assistance Programme. Professional development opportunities and flexible working arrangements.

About the role:
You will develop and co-ordinate a programme of in-house activities based on client need and aspirations.
You will also develop external links with organisations who provide meaningful activities, education, training and employment opportunities and signpost clients accordingly in conjunction with the Mental Health Support Workers.
You will build links with partner agencies and the local communities that will encourage the recruitment of volunteers and student placements to work alongside the staff teams and enhance the services offered.
About you:
- Proven experience of working with colleagues and the local community in the planning and delivery of meaningful activities.
- Proven experience in delivering a range of activities both on a 1:1 basis and in a group setting that have resulted in positive outcomes for clients.
- Proven experience of recruiting, inducting and supporting a range of volunteers.
- A respectful and non-judgemental, anti-discriminatory approach valuing difference and social inclusion.
A Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate will be required for these roles.
