Position: Fundraising Manager

Location: Sidmouth, Devon – “an area of outstanding natural beauty”

Salary: £33,500 per annum, pro rata for the duration of the contract

Duration: This is a part-time, fixed term contract starting as soon as possible until 31st December 2020, working 21 hours per week, over 3 days. Minimum of one day to be worked out of the Sidmouth site, with flexibility on location for the other two days if required.

About the role

Our clients multi-faceted fundraising department comprises an adoption membership scheme, community fundraising, trust fundraising, major donor giving, legacies, stewardship and direct marketing. It is responsible for generating over £37 million income annually through existing and new support. Within their five-year Fundraising Strategy, launching a new online lottery product was identified as a key priority to delivering the ambitious income growth required by the organisation. It is hoped that this new way of supporting will attract over 60,000 new direct debit supporters and raise £9.5m over the course of five years.

Possessing advanced knowledge of fundraising direct marketing across retention and recruitment campaigns, the Fundraising Manager will manage the research and implementation of all aspects of the entirely new online lottery programme. In the first year, this will include tendering for a new external lottery partner, overseeing the implementation of internal processes and systems, development and delivery of all marketing and promotional plans, including creative development, and reporting and evaluation.

About You

As Fundraising Manager you will have

 

  • proven experience of delivering high income generating campaigns across all channels
  • project management experience in a direct marketing environment
  • experience of working alongside procurement teams to appoint external agencies and deliver service value
  • strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • a well-developed knowledge of monitoring, evaluation and interpretation of income and expenditure budgets and campaign performance
  • direct experience of managing charity gaming programmes and an understanding of charity lottery compliance requirements are desirable
