Temporary Project Support Manager (Maternity Cover)
Salary: £27,000pa
Contract: Fixed-term for up to 12 months (to provide maternity cover)
Hours: 37 hrs per week, worked Mondays to Fridays
Based: Flitwick

The role is designed to support this charity’s management team in launching new services as well as supporting the staffing structure and changes within the organisation’s various existing services and projects. The role provides plenty of scope for career development and the working hours are full-time, but part-time and/or flexible working arrangements will also be considered.

In this role you will support existing operational projects as well as support the launch, implementation and incorporation of new projects across the organisation; working in a targeted and flexible way as directed by the Operations Manager; to provide the organisation with the capacity to establish new services and adapt existing services in the most cost-effective and time-efficient way.

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with people with mental health needs.
  • Must have experience with managing outcomes-focused services.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain constructive working relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of line managing staff.
  • Must have experience of managing a budget.
  • Must have an effective planning, reporting and problem-solving ability.
  • Must have strong people management skills.
  • Must be able to effectively and confidently deliver presentations and reports.
  • Must have good communication, motivational and negotiation skills.
  • Must have experience in conducting meetings, identifying actions and solutions and generating notes.
  • Must possess good IT skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel internet, databases and reporting systems).
  • Must have good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Must have an understanding of the wellbeing needs of people with mental health needs, including those from culturally diverse communities.
  • Must hold a Management and Leadership qualification or be willing to work towards a suitable qualification.
  • Must have a valid driving licence and access to a car for work.
