YMCA Downslink Group (YMCA DLG) is part of the oldest and largest federated youth charity in the world contributing to the work of 114 local YMCA's in England and Wales that support children and young people in their communities.

YMCA DLG is a charity that has been serving the local community since 1919. Each year they support over 15,000 children, young people and families across Sussex and Surrey.

Their main centres include: Brighton and Hove, Eastbourne, Guildford, Hastings, Horsham, Crawley, Lewes and Worthing. We offer support through numerous services including: accommodation, family work, health and wellbeing, support and advice and training and education.

About the role

This newly created role will lead the fundraising and commercial directorate and be responsible for the diversification of voluntary income streams including trusts and grants, sponsorship and regular giving as well as identifying other commercial opportunities. The post-holder would have the autonomy to develop and implement the income generation strategy with the full support of the Executive and Board of Trustees.

About you

You will have demonstrable track record in implementing fundraising strategy with significant experience of creating a step change by growing charitable income. You will have a clear and defined leadership style, setting goals and objectives with a hands-on approach leading the team by example. You will act as an ambassador for the organisation, have first class interpersonal skills and be at ease working with senior stakeholders to build on the high profile and excellent reputation of the organisation.
