One in six people in the UK will have a disability in their lifetime and we want to make sure they have the opportunity to live their lives to their full potential.

Leonard Cheshire is the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of services for disabled people.  Our services include high-quality care and community support together with innovative projects supporting disabled people into education, employment and entrepreneurship.  Worldwide, our global alliance of Leonard Cheshire partners support disabled people into education and employment, and work in more than 50 countries.

We are about to embark on an exciting new strategy and we are seeking an exceptional individual to be the strategic lead for all our marketing and fundraising activity. You will have a unique opportunity to build a high performing team to integrate, develop and grow our brand, marketing and fundraising activities and deliver a multi-year strategic communications approach that transforms our public profile.

You will provide inspirational leadership to this directorate while listening to the voices of disabled people and all our stakeholders including donors, staff, volunteers, commissioners, government and all those we work with.

The ideal candidate will bring an exceptional track record of delivering large scale growth in fundraising and in raising an organisation’s profile. You will have experience of developing a highly effective insight function and embedding it within a complex organisation. You will also bring executive experience of successful financial management and responsibility for a significant budget.

If you bring outstanding contemporary communication and influencing skills, have the ability to take a fresh perspective and share a commitment to the values and ethos of our charity, we look forward to hearing from you.

Leonard Cheshire Disability welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
