Our client has been appointed by the Big Lottery Fund to lead the ‘Our Bright Future’ programme to invest £33 million across the UK to support young people (aged 11-24) to improve their local environments. This five-year programme will take the form of a portfolio made up of projects from across the UK. They have a vision, that the portfolio will catalyse long term change in the way in which we invest in our young people and the environment by increasing the ability of young people to improve places that are important to them and to influence the attitudes and decisions that shape their neighbourhoods and communities.
The organisation is currently seeking an Administration Support Officer to join this programme. The main purpose of this role is to provide effective administrative support for the programme portfolio. Your main responsibilities will include supporting the Programme Manager in the management of portfolio projects, tracking and processing payments and collating information in relation to the programme portfolio. You will also be expected to keep records and databases up to date, provide relationship management support, and administer meetings and events; this may include organising venues, taking bookings, circulating papers and meeting visitors.
The successful candidate will be a skilled administrator who is experienced in dealing with a wide variety of audiences using different methods. You will have strong knowledge and experience of general office systems and administration practices and you will be familiar with information management and principles of customer care. It is essential that you are a skilled communicator and that you are confident and can be assertive when necessary. Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will be capable of planning and prioritising an ever-changing workload and you will be a strong team player who can also work alone when necessary.
