Drug and Alcohol Practitioner

Are you a qualified counsellor? Are you passionate about 12-Step treatment? If so this could be the job for you!

Our clients are a UK leading provider of drug and alcohol treatment services, including 12-Step programmes. They deliver treatment and aftercare programmes – in prisons and in the community – which help people move away from addiction and crime. These services provide a variety of support, including advice, counselling, group work and intensive treatment.

Our clients programmes work, and because of this, after a recent round of re-contracting, they are delighted to be going through a period of expansion (30% growth 2012-2013), and want to add new and expanded functions to enable us to deliver our vision of high quality and effective recovery services.

They currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced 12-Step recovery professional to join their programmes team at HMP Wandsworth responsible for delivering their Alcohol Dependency Treatment and 6 week Bridge programmes, working in a busy, successful team of professionals and in partnership with the case management team and other support services to deliver a holistic treatment package.

As part of our clients Programme team you will be at the heart of their service delivery enabling their clients to start and sustain their recovery journey and make lasting changes.

Our clients will consider applications from candidates with a Nursing and/or Criminal Justice background and applications from candidates who are themselves in recovery will be welcomed.

They offer an excellent benefits package including work-related clinical supervision allowance, Simply Health coverage, competitive annual leave entitlements and a contributory pension scheme. They also support their employees to achieve both professional and personal development.

They are committed to the equality of opportunity for employees and eligible applicants. They’ll judge you on your abilities and skills and nothing else. Our clients are committed to enhancing the diverse profile of their organisation to reflect the communities within which they work.
