This Sunday Times Top 100 Not-For-Profit organisation is looking to appoint a Family Support Manager to manage our Southampton Family Support team and a small case load.
This is an exciting time for an experienced child health or social care professional to join Rainbow Trust as we are an ambitious charity with a clear vision for growth and a strong sense of values. Your persuasive, inclusive approach to achieving goals quickly and correctly will be recognised in our high-performing organisation. Reporting to the National Manager, you will take responsibility for delivering a quality family support service in Southampton and the surrounding areas, extending into Isle of Wight.
You will develop, monitor and deliver service outcomes and build and maintain successful professional partnerships to ensure the service is accessible to relevant families. Managing the family support team which includes volunteers, you enjoy bringing out the best in people and making collaborative decisions within your area. Acting as the local Registered Manager for the Care Quality Commission you will provide management and leadership to the team in relation to all safeguarding issues.
Comfortable with a changing environment, you will thrive working at a fast pace and controlling tasks from conception to completion. Having worked regularly within a community environment you have a commitment to working in partnership with children, young people and their families. A poised and convincing communicator, you will maintain effective relationships with stakeholders including families, referrers, partners and other statutory, private and voluntary agencies.
You understand, through your successful line management experience, that quickly connecting with people is essential. Applications are particularly welcome from those who understand the impact on family dynamics of having a child/young person with a life threatening or terminal illness and those who have worked in bereavement support. Educated to A-level with a recognised childcare and management qualification (NVQ4 or equivalent) your strong networking skills and confident use of MSOffice will support your warm, friendly working style.
There will be a requirement for flexible working and a full current driver’s licence to accommodate team and family need.
