It’s an exciting time to join RNIB’s Challenge Events team, as we have ambitious plans to grow over the next few years. In this newly created role, we’re looking for someone with a passion for challenge events, the digital environment, communication and data, to join our small and friendly team. The successful person will use their skills, creativity and enthusiasm to support the growth of our challenge events fundraising programme; and by doing so help improve the lives of blind and partially sighted people.
The role will independently manage a range of events, focused on maximising recruitment through well planned and executed marketing campaigns; maximising income and repeat support by delivering outstanding supporter stewardship across multiple channels; using data, insight and innovation to continuously improve supporter experience; leading and inspiring colleagues to deliver cross-team projects; and managing legal and financial event requirements.
The role will be critical to managing and improving the performance of existing challenge events, developing new challenge events, raising our profile and brand awareness and delivering outstanding and innovative supporter care.
The role will also be responsible for managing project work to improve and develop team processes and ways of working, championing challenges events across the organisation and contributing to the development of the overall challenge events strategy. All with the ultimate goal of raising more money to ensure RNIB can reach more people affected by sight loss.
The successful person will have significant experience of challenge events and delivering successful multi-channel marketing campaigns and stewardship journeys. You will be highly organised and motivated, with confident event management abilities, and a proven track record of delivering successful and profitable challenge events.

Salary: £31,729 - £34,211 (includes London weighting allowance)
