Investment Manager
Part time (21 hours per week)

NJC equivalent points 34-38 (starting £30,153 pro-rata) plus 7% pension contribution and Death in Service insurance.

This role will be instrumental in shaping GMCVO’s ambition of becoming a social investment financial intermediary. There will be an emphasis on development and sustainability of social investment within Greater Manchester to stimulate the growth of social enterprise.

The successful applicant will be experienced in managing an investment team to deliver an effective loan portfolio to SMEs, social enterprises and/or trading charities and be fully conversant with financial and legal frameworks, contracts and risk assessment in terms of ‘investment readiness’.

They will have a high level of interpersonal skills, the ability to embed a greater understanding of social finance within GMCVO and the willingness to understand the social, political and economic context within which GMCVO works.

Social Investment is a new market for GMCVO so an important part of this role will be to lead the team in working with external partners, clients (both existing and potential), and advise on contract compliance and monitoring/audit procedures.

The role will involve developing a pipeline of potential clients to support through to application stage and the successful candidate will be required to identify trends, development opportunities and risks whilst developing further products and services in a quickly evolving market.
