Part-time Co-production & Community Engagement Worker

Salary: £26,813 pro rata, with actual £13,044 per annum

Hours: 18 hours per week, over 3 days

Position: Permanent

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

Description

We are a vibrant charity providing a variety of services for people who have mental health needs, to promote their recovery and wellbeing.  Our main base is a community hub in Leatherhead town centre. Recently we have been awarded a grant by Surrey County Council and Surrey Downs Clinical Commissioning Group to provide leadership for Community Connections Mental Health Services in four different areas: Mole Valley, Epsom & Ewell, East Elmbridge, and Banstead.

We wish to employ a part-time Co-production & Community Engagement Worker to empower people with lived experience of mental health problems to unitise their expertise to improve the way mental health services are developed, reviewed and delivered through co-production and Involvement.

We are looking for a flexible, resilient and energetic person with direct personal experience of using mental health services. You must develop and maintain positive working relationships with people who use our services and staff working at different levels in a range of organisations. Must have strong sense of self and ability to set and maintain boundaries and an ability to reflect and review working situations and interactions objectively. Although we will offer some training, s/he will need to have all the relevant skills to meet the requirements of this position. We are disability confident committed employer.
