Part-time Community Connections New Area Worker

Salary: £26,813 pro rata, with actual £13,044 per annum

Hours: 18 hours per week, over 3 days

Position: Permanent

Reporting to: Operational Manager

Description

We are a vibrant charity providing a variety of services for people who have mental health needs, to promote their recovery and wellbeing.  Our main base is a community hub in Leatherhead town centre – which is a friendly and homely environment for all who access our services. We have been awarded by Surrey County Council and local Clinical Commissioning Groups a grant to provide leadership for Community Connections Mental Health Services in four different areas: Mole Valley, Epsom & Ewell, East Elmbridge, and Banstead.

We wish to employ a part-time New Area Worker who will be based in Banstead. You will appreciate the exciting opportunity of working with people with mental health problems, helping them to adapt to the change and encouraging them to develop their potential.  

We are looking for a flexible, resilient and energetic person with excellent inter-personal skills and experience of working with vulnerable adults. Although we will offer some training, s/he will need to have all the relevant skills to meet the requirements of this position. We are disability confident committed employer.
