This is a full-time, permanent role.

The organisation

  • A health charity.

The role

  • Manage PR activity with the aim of promoting scientific research, policy and campaigns, and public health information through engaging with the press and public.
  • Draft press releases in health policy and scientific research, respond to press enquiries and implement PR plans and media strategies.
  • Establish relationships with key science and national health journalists and maintain and recruit case studies.

The candidate

  • Will have a strong PR and media relations background and work well in a fast-paced environment, with experience of crisis management and the ability to optimise proactive and reactive opportunities.

  • Proven experience within UK health or science PR.

  • Experience delivering successful media relations plans and communicating the organisation’s key messages to national media, utilising broadcast, print, and online.
