Chief Executive for the UK Council for Psychotherapy
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) exists to promote and maintain high standards of practice of psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic counselling for the benefit of the public. Our vision is to improve people’s understanding of high quality psychotherapies and advocate their use, promote excellence by setting standards in ethics and training, protect the public through robust regulation, speak out against injustice and represent the profession nationally and internationally.
At a time when there is a considerable growth in interest in Mental Health, the Chair and Board of Trustees would like to appoint a Chief Executive who will bring leadership and vision to UKCP and who will realise its potential. We are looking for someone who will maximise opportunities to raise the profile of our organisation, increase awareness of our members’ services and manage the challenges that we face. You will be a leader and a strategist with demonstrably strong management skills, a persuasive communicator and an able negotiator.
This is an exciting opportunity to realise the potential of UKCP and an opportunity to play an important role in the Mental Health agenda.
