Assistant Director, Digital Engagement- Permanent

An excellent health charity with ambitious strategic plans are looking for a confident Digital Engagement specialist to lead the development of a digital strategy and develop and empower teams to transform its operation and impact. Building on strong foundations and be the Digital Champion for the charity.

Key responsibilities:

-Lead the development of Digital Strategy
-Lead and empower the Digital Engagement function and team and play a significant leadership role as a member of the wider leadership team
-Lead the development of a digital audience and content strategy for new and warm audiences to support growth in engagement, income and impact
-Lead the development and embed a culture of digital expertise, insight, learning and innovation
-Build functionality, capacity and systems, balancing innovation with efficiency, and digitally enable teams, business users and stakeholders. Lead the development of operational plans and resources
-Lead content commissioning and marketing planning (SEO, paid, email) across digital channels to enhance engagement; affinity and support with the charity
-Lead the evolution of an agile Digital model within the charity to exploit digital opportunities and transform our support and impact; provide leadership, expertise, capacity and capability
-Lead the core Digital team, agencies and key internal relationships to deliver strategy and plans to time and budget

Person specification:

-Demonstrable leadership experience of high performing, agile digital teams and function in the not for profit sector
-Demonstrable achievements working with creative and technical development in existing and emerging technologies to shape and deliver digital and ecommerce solutions for an organisation
-Demonstrable experience of planning and delivering digital marketing and communications strategies and operational plans (web, mobile, email, social) to agreed audiences
-Demonstrable track record in planning, delivering, tracking and analysing campaigns aimed at increasing engagement, income and impact
-Proven experience of building strong, cross organisational senior relationships to drive progress, maximise opportunity and impact and mitigate risk
-Demonstrable experience of setting, delivering and reporting against strategic and operational digital business plans and multi-year budget
