Mobile Drug and Alcohol Practitioner

Location - Norfolk Cluster

Our clients are a UK leading provider of drug and alcohol treatment services, including 12-Step programmes. They deliver treatment and aftercare programmes – in prisons and in the community – which help people move away from addiction and crime. These services provide a variety of support, including advice, counselling, group work and intensive treatment.

Our clients currently have an exciting opportunity for a mobile drug and alcohol practitioner to join their team. This is a mobile role to support the Norfolk Cluster prisons on a flexible basis as service delivery requires. Working in a busy, successful team of Practitioners you will be managing a caseload of clients, running workshops, both CBT and 12-Step based, and referring to our clients partner organisations.

Our clients believe that all people who are addicted to or misusing substances should have access to support which is effective in breaking their addiction or misuse. People should be given help and support to address all their needs, so they can transform their lives permanently, including turning away from crime.

You will deliver, and support the delivery, of 12-Step drug and alcohol treatment programmes and will be responsible for the case management of offenders on your caseload.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a thorough understanding of 12-Step treatment approach and be suitably qualified to deliver a therapeutic intervention.  Our clients will consider applications from candidates with a Nursing and/or Criminal Justice background and applications from candidates who are themselves in recovery will be welcomed.

Our clients offer an excellent benefits package including work-related clinical supervision allowance, Simply Health coverage, competitive annual leave entitlements and a contributory pension scheme. They also support their employees to achieve both professional and personal development.

Our clienrs are committed to the equality of opportunity for employees and eligible applicants. They’ll judge you on your abilities and skills and nothing else. They are committed to enhancing the diverse profile of their organisation to reflect the communities within which they work.
