Grants & Administration Assistant, 12 month contract initially
Over the years this arts organisation has helped and supported many thousands with grants, allowances and help towards domestic living. Today charities are being called upon more than ever and this organisation provides the vital help their members need.
As Grants and Administration Assistant you will play a vital role in the day to day running of the organisation and be part of a small team. You will assist the CEO with all tasks related to grant-making activity and be responsible for the smooth running of the office. The 134 year old charity is at the beginning an exciting period of change, and working alongside the CEO, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop new processes, procedures and shape the future of the organisation. As you will be the first point of contact within the organisation, you will gain exposure to dealing directly with their beneficiaries, seeing first-hand how your work directly has an impact on helping the organisation's service users.
What's unique about this role is you will work directly with the Chief Executive, who will be your mentor throughout the contract. With experience of working within the third sector and within one of the UK's much loved charitable organisations, the postholder will also benefit from having a mentor who has a track record in fundraising and a passion for working within the arts sector. This role could be the perfect stepping stone as your first role within the charity sector or be an opportunity to learn a new skillset.
