A cancer charity based in Surrey are looking for a Community Fundraising Events Assistant. You will be supporting the Community Events Fundraising Team in raising money from fundraisers either by promoting our own events to them or supporting them to organise their own activities.

Key Responsibilities:
-Working with the Community Events Team to help support fundraisers organising their own events from the initial phone call/email through to the completion of their event
-Responding to enquiries from the public, staff, fundraisers etc (by phone, email, mail and in person) including responding to requests for information and materials
-Providing administrative support, to include inputting fundraisers information on Raisers Edge, processing of donations and sending relevant letters
-Assisting the Community Events Team Leader with general administration of the charity's flagship mass participation event and to include supporting the event participation
-Maintaining accurate and up to date financial and supporter records and providing reports and information about activity, performance, supporters


Skills and Experience required:
-Experience working in a fundraising environment
-Experience of handling complaints from customers/supporters
-Experience of using a relationship management database (ideally Raiser's Edge)
-Experience of designing efficient administrative systems
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
