Our client, a national disability charity, is now looking for a Support Worker to join our team in Sale, Greater Manchester.
This is a busy community based Day Service supports people from their own homes and into the local community. A range of activities from Social, Educational and Leisure are provided for people with disabilities. They offer Art groups, IT sessions, Cookery Classes, Communication Groups, Music, Photography, Museum Visits, Swimming, Cinema and Pub Visits and many more. They support their service users to volunteer in their local community and attend community events like art and drama classes.
As a Support Worker in this service you will help to promote independent living skills, help with personal care, encourage healthy living and making healthy choices. Previous experience in a Support Worker role is desirable but not essential as they provide full training along with an induction package which includes online e-learning. For this role they are also preferably looking for applicants who can drive, however, this again is not essential. They can offer between 25.5 - 37.5 hpw, shifts generally start from 9am - 4:30pm, however evening and weekend work is required.
