Trusts & Statutory Fundraising Officer
Harris Hill is working with an inspirational children's health charity to recruit a Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Officer. The purpose of the role will be to research and develop mailings and funding proposals for trusts, statutory bodies and the Big Lottery Fund.
The role will see responsibility for reporting on grants received, with collaborative working with other departments to identify and develop funding prospects.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Writing and submission of applications to a wide range of charitable trusts, including research of prospect's priorities and procedures.
Proactively undertaking research into funding opportunities from large grant-making bodies, the big Lottery Fund and a wide range of funding sources.
Advising on application timetables and calendar planning
Assisting with day to day running of seasonal campaigns, providing occasional support to local supporter groups with their independent funding applications including written updates, face-to-face presentations and skills sessions.
Maintenance of accurate records both verbal and written as requested by the head of Programme Funding.
Skills and Experience required:
Demonstrable experience of research and proposal writing for income generation purposes
Thorough understanding of charity fundraising, specifically trust or corporate fundraising
Excellent interpersonal skills ability to relate to internal and external contacts at all levels, being a good representative of the charity at all times.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, professional manner using own initiative
CRM and database management desirable.
