Newham Training and Education Centre (NEWTEC) is a specialist charity organisation offering vocational training opportunities and high quality registered day care nursery facilities in Stratford and East London.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Director to join NEWTEC. The post-holder will report to the Chief Executive / The Board and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
The post-holder will ensure the provision of consistent, robust, and expert financial advice to the Chief Executive and other senior leadership colleagues; provide an effective financial management service to the charity and act as the leading interface between management and trustees on financial matters. The Finance Director will also lead on business development and fund raising activities, with the ability to provide strategic leadership on all aspects of NEWTEC’s activities including budgeting, financial control, and procurement.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience in both accounting and management, qualified as an accountant, substantial experience of management in a charity setting and at senior level together with excellent analytical and interpretive ability and experience of developing, delivering and monitoring financial strategies.
The position involves some travel in the London area, particularly Kingston University. The ideal candidate will show a commitment to the mission, aims, values and ethos of NEWTEC.
