Here at Amnesty International UK (AIUK), our aim is to protect individuals wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied and we want the world to join us in standing up for humanity and human rights. Which is why we need you – to shape the way we achieve full and appropriate media coverage.

About the role

A key member of our busy Press and PR team, you’ll be proactive in generating media coverage for AIUK to help deliver our campaigning and growth objectives. Working closely with our campaigns and advocacy teams, our regional networks and PR agencies, you will be expected to deliver and develop excellent media strategies, conduct media interviews and produce relevant materials such as briefings press releases and opinion pieces.

About you

Passionate about our aims, you’ll have worked in a busy press office or PR agency. An experienced spokesperson with an awareness of international affairs and human rights, you’ll be ready to put your creative nature to best possible use. You will be used to working closely with volunteers and networks. Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines, you can present complex information in an understandable manner. An interest in new media is essential in addition to the availability to work “on call” hours shared with the rest of the team. Due to the short nature of the contract, you will be highly confident in your skills as a Press and PR Manager.
