You will have an opportunity to use all your creativity and imagination because the way you will work, including the days and the times when you will be present at the residential home, will be flexible and adaptable, driven entirely by the wishes, needs and views of the residents themselves.

Because they know that the residents’ lives aren’t lived on a nine to five basis or only on weekdays. the advocacy service will be present on site during the mornings, afternoons or evenings on any day, including at weekends,

The idea behind their new delivery model is that residents will want to see and to speak with their advocate on the days and at the times which work best for them and their advocacy service will respond to this and in doing so, it will be entirely led by residents’ needs.

Many residents face significant barriers to being heard and understood and your highly-developed communication skills will allow you to engage with and to obtain their views, wishes and concerns using a variety of different communication techniques and tools.

Your passion for people will help to ensure that the voices and views of the residents are heard loud and clear by the local management team, their wider regional management team, by statutory bodies and by other organisations and people who are significant in the lives of the residents.
