Large charity with offices based in Manchester as well as other major UK cities.


The role of the Fundraising Manager includes the following remit:

* Research, plan and deliver on a portfolio of new prospects who/that are capable of making six and seven figure grants or gifts
* Design with programme and delivery team, Head of Sites, and other key internal stakeholders, cases for support that will help secure new donors and partners
* Work closely with Head of Development and Directors on 2020 income strategy
* Work with team Development Managers to put in place strong stewardship plans for secured prospects
* Support the Head of Development, Director of Development and Communications, and Chief Executive in providing strategic oversight of secured donors and partners
* Potentially provide pastoral and coaching support to up to two members of the Development team
* Contribute to the effective knowledge management of prospects and new donors using all possible communication channels (eg Salesforce)


The successful Fundraising Manager will have the following experience:

* A minimum of 10 years' experience working in a fundraising environment and demonstrable experience of developing and securing £500,000 + funding from across the sectors
* Strong interpersonal, relationship-building and presentation skills with an ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences
* Strong account and relationship management skills
* Excellent written skills in relation to the production of letters, applications, reports and publications
* Financial skills including the ability to construct and use spreadsheets to monitor a budget
* Proven ability to work as both a team member and independent leader
* Demonstrable experience of managing a diverse workload and working under pressure
* Experience of working with/engaging young people
* Line management experience
