The Royal Horticultural Society has been the force behind gardening for more than 200 years. Best known for our world famous Flower Shows and our Gardens, our charitable work is diverse and includes connecting millions of children with nature through the RHS Campaign for School Gardening, managing RHS Britain in Bloom, Europe's largest community gardening campaign, and conducting pioneering horticultural science research.

We believe everyone in every village, town and city should benefit from growing plants to enhance lives, build stronger, healthier, happier communities and create better places to live. We want to enrich everyone's life through plants and make Britain a greener and more beautiful place.

The RHS has recently launched a major £100million investment programme, which includes exciting new projects, from promoting the search for the first RHS Urban Garden to the creation of fantastic new plant spectacle at RHS Gardens.

The Fundraising Research Executive is a new role at the RHS and will report into the Head of Major Funding in the growing and dynamic Major Funding team.

The RHS already has an enviable network of contacts supporting our work but we need to expand our network of Trusts and Major Donors to help fund our ambitious targets.

In this role you will be providing research into both Trusts and individuals , producing donor profiles, reports and biographies and helping to feed the major funding pipeline, allowing fundraisers to make informed choices and maximise opportunities on a variety of fundraising activities.

This role reports to the Head of Major Funding and offers opportunity to shape the direction of the fundraising pipeline. You'll have an understanding of fundraising, together with some experience of research and the ability to use a customer contact database, along with a genuine desire to help us access some of the biggest funding sources available.
