Battersea is seeking to build on the success of its fundraising, diversify income streams and accelerate its investment across the fundraising mix in order to deliver an income of over £30m by 2020. To facilitate this ambitious growth plan Battersea are investing in twelve new fundraising positions, across all fundraising disciplines.
We are currently searching for a Senior Community & Challenge Manager to head up the Community and Challenge/Public Events team at Battersea. The Senior Community & Challenge Manager will report to the Head of Public Fundraising and lead a team of seven and directly line manager four, across Regional (Community) and Challenge/Public Events. The Senior Community & Challenge Manager will grow the mass participation events programme, including the all-new Muddy Dog challenge, the UK's first human and canine combined challenge, and community/regional fundraising activity in accordance to the growth plans set by the exciting new fundraising strategy. The Senior Community & Challenge Manager will set, monitor and manager the budget, reporting and forecasting, and will monitor the team's performance against targets.
The successful Senior Community & Challenge Manager will have significant experience of managing a community/regional/challenge events team. The selected candidate will be a strong strategist, have solid line management experience and a good understanding of how to utilise the power of digital channels.
