Surrey Community Action is seeking to fill the following role to deliver the “Inspiring Enterprise” project; working with unemployed and economically inactive people in West Surrey to help them create and run their own Social Enterprise. It is run in partnership with WSX Enterprise and Action Hampshire and is funded by the Building Better Opportunities programme of the Big Lottery and European Social Fund.
35 hours per week. £27,000 pa plus 5% pension. Based in Burpham, Guildford. Flexible working considered.
This role is to manage the delivery of the Inspiring Enterprise project across West Surrey, helping individuals create new Social Enterprises and supporting them during development, start up and early delivery. It will raise awareness of Social Enterprise as a route into work, deliver “Is It For Me?” training sessions at locations across West Surrey, deliver ongoing business and personal development training for Social Entrepreneurs and set up support structures for new Social Enterprises for knowledge exchange and peer support.
The right candidate will be a skilled communicator, familiar with the Social Enterprise environment, and able to encourage and support others through the process of setting up a new Social Enterprise or signpost onto other services where appropriate. Applicants must be able to work as part of a dispersed team, to the highest professional standards.
