Media and Communications Officer

An independent health and education charity is looking for a Media and Communications Officer to join their team in London.
Key Responsibilities will include:
-Lead on the delivery of Media and Communications plans to stakeholder audiences, including: health professionals; policing; local government.
-Responsible for content creation.
-Day-to-day Press Office functions of news creation, response and rebuttal, answering enquiries from the media and related stakeholders; on-call press office on a rota basis; drafting and selling-in proactive and reactive press releases and statements; developing features; setting up interviews; briefing spokespeople and managing media lists.
-Work closely with Marketing colleagues and external agencies to deliver Media and Communications plans
-Monitor the Communications environment and proactively identify opportunities to promote key organisational messages,
In Order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:
-Evidence of planning and delivering successful communication projects from conception to conclusion, including monitoring and evaluation of media coverage.
-Proven track record of achieving high quality and quantity of media coverage.
-Evidence of swift response to the news agenda to achieve coverage and promote organisational messages.
-Able to develop creative ideas to present campaign and brand key messages to external stakeholders.
-Experience of working with media databases.
