Peer Support Coordinator

Our clients are a UK leading provider of drug and alcohol treatment services, including 12-Step programmes. They deliver treatment and aftercare programmes – in prisons and in the community – which help people move away from addiction and crime. These services provide a variety of support, including advice, counselling, group work and intensive treatment.

Role Overview

Our clients currently have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Coordinator to join their Integrated Healthcare and Substance Misuse services at HMP Lewes. Working in a busy, successful team of Drug and Alcohol Practitioners and Health Professionals you will be providing training to clients to become Peer supporters and take a lead in motivating and encouraging client’s involvement. One of the key targets will be measuring outcomes, so co-operative working relationships with other partner agencies is vital to this role.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social or equivalent, experience and knowledge of supporting clients with substance misuse issues, and a good understanding of recovery and the criminal justice system.
