Individual Giving Officer
We're working with an inspirational international development charity to recruit a proactive, autonomous, target driven and hands-on Individual Giving Officer.

The Individual Giving Officer will join a small and friendly team of six, composed of a Communications Manager, a Trust and Foundations Manager, a Major donor and Corporate Fundraising Manager and a Community and Outreach Fundraiser. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will ensure quality and compliance in all aspects of the communications with donors and members. You will lead on the development of the individual giving programme currently delivering unrestricted income worth around 200,000 per annum.
Developing the individual giving programme- donor acquisition, development and retention through agreed direct marketing channels, including digital communications.
Maximising members engagement, retention and giving levels.
Produce engaging fundraising communications and compelling appeals for new and existing supporters, both in print and online.
Manage relationships with relevant agencies and suppliers where appropriate.
Monitor individual giving income, revise and implement plans as required to ensure income and expenditure targets are met and risk minimised.
Be responsible for the Raisers Edge database and the ImportOmatic processes.
Oversee gift processing and ensure the effective capture of all supporters data including gift aid declarations and types of consents.
Extract and segment data for campaigns, record and monitor communications with supporters, including email campaigns.
We are looking for a proactive, autonomous, digitally savvy and hands-on Individual Giving Officer. A good networker within the sector, you will also be aware of new trends and opportunities in fundraising, exploring these for the benefit of the organisation. You will need to have demonstrable experience of implementing individual giving and digital communications programmes and have experience of using the Raisers Edge.
A minimum of two years experience of hands-on direct marketing in the UK, including digital fundraising in an in-house individual giving role, and familiar with direct debit income processing and monitoring.
Experience of using a mass emailing software.
Experience of using a fundraising database and familiar with data selection processes.
Experience of managing relationships with key individual supporters and community groups.
A successful track record of working to and meeting income targets and deadlines.
A good understanding of fundraising principles and best practice (Fundraising Regulators Code of Fundraising Practice).
